Heaven or Hell?

The choice is up to you.

Think About This

Life is very uncertain, and you have no guarantee that you will be alive this time tomorrow. The choices you make today could affect not only where you are tomorrow but also where your spirit ends up for eternity. Death is the number one fear among all of mankind. We fear the unknown, but God has told us that we do not have to fear. His written Word is like a GPS that tells us exactly how to find the one and only road to Heaven. Answer these questions honestly and sincerely to yourself. Don’t forget that your choice is ultimately just between you and God.

Question One

Do you believe that you are a sinner?

God says that we all are sinners.

“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12

Question Two

Do you believe that when a sinner dies, he goes to Hell?

God says that he will.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36

“The wicked shall be turned into Hell.” Psalms 9:17a

Question Three

Do you believe that you will have a second chance after death?

God says that you will not.

“As it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment,” Hebrews 9:27

Question Four

Do you believe that you can get to Heaven by doing good things such as joining the church, being baptized, obeying the Ten Commandments, or doing good deeds?

God says that you will not get to Heaven unless you are born again.

“For by grace are se saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; It is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.” Titus 3:5

Question Five

Do you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you?

God sent His only Son to pay the price for your sins, and that price was the the precious blood of Jesus.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“In whom we have redemption through his blood.” Ephesians 1:7a

Question Six

Do you know that unless you personally accept Jesus by asking Him to come into your heart, save your soul, and forgive your of your sins; you will never be saved and will never go to Heaven?

God says that you must accept His gift of salvation in order to get to Heaven.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.” John 1:12a

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

Question Seven

Have you ever asked Jesus to come into your heart and to be your Lord and Savior?

God says that you should.

“Behold now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation,” II Corinthians 6:2

If your answer to this question is NO, God wants you to accept His free gift of salvation today.

The Model Prayer

This prayer is not a ritual that you can perform to earn your salvation.

Below is an example of how people have prayed and accepted Christ’s sacrifice as payment for their sins. You don’t need to say these exact words. Remember that it’s the thought that counts. God knows if you are sincere when asking Him to save you from Hell and forgive your sins.

Dear Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner. If I had died today, I would be lost forever in Hell. I believe that you died for me so that I don’t have to pay for my own sins in Hell. Right now I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I am asking you to save me and forgive me of all my sins and give me a home in Heaven. I am putting my complete faith and trust in only You. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Amen.
